Kate Middleton's Wedding Bouquet

Brides choose the flowers for their bridal bouquet for a variety of reasons – color, fragrance, favorite flower, etc.  For the Royal Wedding, Kate Middleton carefully chose the flowers for her bouquet based upon the meaning – or “language” – of each flower.  Her bouquet contained a stunning variety of myrtle, ivy, lily-of-the-valley, sweet William and hyacinth.  The lily-of-the-valley represents the return of happiness; sweet William means gallantry; hyacinth is for the constancy of love. Both ivy and myrtle represent both love and marriage, with myrtle as the emblem of marriage.

In choosing flowers for your wedding, think about what you want your bouquet to “say,” and choose your flowers accordingly.  Enjoy!
