The last weekend in February we were thrilled to be able to plan and design a fabulous intimate destination wedding (with 8 guests) for a very special couple in the Big Easy.  We often say, “Whether it’s an intimate gathering or lavish affair, EVE Events is dedicated to celebrating it in a distinctive, sophisticated and memorable fashion.”  This was the perfect opportunity for us to really be creative and shine!  And we truly enjoyed it.  We were able to bring all the elements and charm of New Orleans into various aspects of the city.  The wedding was held at a romantic, historic mansion, full of charm, with distinctive, dramatic gates, brick walkways and a gazebo.  The signature gates of the city were reflected in the gatefold invitations that we made, and the local “flavors” of the city were represented in the products used in the welcome amenities.  The colors of sky blue, ivory and light peach were integrated throughout the event; the ivory and light peach, the accent colors, were used to intimate the warmth of candlelight.

We were able to include some fun surprises for the bride and groom … such as a visit by the amazing violinist Amanda Shaw, who strolled up the front walkway performing “Lovers’ Waltz.”  She then broke into one of her signature Cajun tunes, “Dance a Carre.”  Check her out at www.amandashaw.com.

For additional photos and information about the wedding, check out the Benachi House and Gardens’ website.

After a celebratory, exquisite, amazing dinner at Emeril’s Delmonico Restaurant, the bride and groom continued the party in the French Quarter, where the fun continued into the wee hours of the morning.  We wish them the very best and a long and happy life together!

With love,

Eve, Sarah and Stephanie
